A 29-second sex tape filed inside a Shanghai hotel room overlooking the famous Lujiazui skyline has taken over Chinese social media. Police have opened an investigation into the video, which was filmed in Shanghai’s Four Seasons Hotel. The video went viral on May 24, and Weibo has since censored the video from its website.

The Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower is visible from the hotel room video where the video was filmed, helping Netizens figure out its location. The terms “Lujiazui,” and “Lujiazui video,” have since been censored on Weibo. On the evening of May 25, there were no videos in the search results for “Lujiazui.” Weibo issued an official announcement yesterday at 18:11 saying that it had completely censored the video. 26 versions of the video and 570 related images were deleted.

Netizens reported that police were spotted questioning staff at the Lujiazui Four Seasons Hotel. A Netizen posted photos of two men wearing police uniforms sitting with several people in the hotel.

Netizens have even figured out the kind of chair the sex tape was filmed on, and circled the chair in photos of the hotel.

Four Seasons staff confirmed that police had been to the hotel to ask questions about the incident, but they had left quickly. When questioned by media, a hotel staff member said that they did not disclose information about hotel guests.

It's funny that in incidents involving sex, the police treat it almost as seriously as a murder investigation. I can bet though, that if the woman was assaulted instead, the police wouldn't even have bothered investigating. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Yes, this is right, just see what happened in the hotels around the Chinese New Year, including a woman in Beijing who was grabbed by her hair while staff were on camera just observing as though they were at a sumo wrestling match.

What is wrong with two adults doing that in a hotel room? Should they be doing it in a classroom or in the park?
