On August 13, a list of the "Top Ten Olympic Cities Worth a Visit" was compiled by Reuters and the well-known travel website Virtual Tourist. The list put Beijing at number 5; Olympic Games founder Athens won the top spot.
The complete list of cities is as follows:
1. Athens, Greece
2. Stockholm, Sweden
3. Antwerp, Belgium
4. Melbourne, Australia
5. Beijing, China
6. Innsbruck, Austria
7. Nagano, Japan
8. Albertville, France
9. Salt Lake City, USA
10. Vancouver, Canada.
