Dalian Stations to Reach Annual Peak Passenger Flow in Mid August

Dalian’s railway network is preparing to enter its busiest time of year. Since the summer peak season began, Dalian Station and Dalian North Station have had 60,000 passengers pass through daily, approximately 5 percent more than last year.

From the middle of this month, as students prepare to go back to university, the city will witness a new rush, as the student crowd joins the tourist crowd and usual commuters travelling to the city. Increased crowds are expected until the end of the month.

Tickets are selling out as 95 percent of seats are being booked out in advance online, with tickets for travel over the weekend being especially hard to come by.
