Nanchang Transport - Introduction

Traveling into Nanchang is easy by air, road and train. Nanchang Changbei International Airport lies approximately 26 kilometers outside of town, operating flights to airports across China and with limited international services.

The city's railway station sits on several significant train lines, the largest of which are the Guangzhou-Shanghai and Beijing-Kowloon lines. Tickets can be bought in advance of travel from the city's hotels for a small surcharge.

Traveling into and out of the city by long distance bus is a good option for budget travelers, although it is not as convenient or as quick as the trains. There is a good network of roads leading into and out of the city though enabling visitors to reach many cities in the region and across the country.
