The new 100 Yuan bank note was officially released today. The 100 Yuan bill was part of the fifth series of bank notes introduced by the People’s Bank of China in 1999, and was last upgraded in 2005.
The updated bill features enhanced security features, and a gold 100 on the front face. Because of the gold number, the bill has come to be known amongst Netizens as the “Tuhao gold edition RMB.”
